This complete renovation of a 2,700 sf. home in Beverly Hills for a family of three and a nanny suite began with adding just 110 more square feet to the house to expand the back family room and gain better access to the back master suite. The modern remodel included completely new kitchens and bathrooms, with custom cabinetry and millwork throughout the house. To bring light into the center of this wide house, a large skylight was added above the dining room table where a beam running through the opening supports a central, modern chandelier. With the renovation, a damaged roof was replaced at the back portion of the house which allowed for re-framing the ceiling to angle up in the main space to reach a generous height of 10 feet facing the back yard. At the back, an ipe deck and trellis allow for outdoor eating and family space as well as access to a small, turfed back yard for the children.
